Server rules
The rules for playing on Rust Arabia. Read the short version, then the full rules section by section.
The short version
- No cheats, scripts or exploits.
- Teams are max 10 players, offline players included.
- No alliances, slaving or shared bases.
- No hate speech, doxing or threats.
- No advertising and no real money trading.
- Staff have the final say. Report problems in a Discord ticket.
1. Cheating and scripts
No cheats, scripts, macros or third-party tools that give you an advantage, paid or free. Anything Facepunch counts as cheating in its Terms of Service counts here too.
Rust's Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) runs on your PC, and Galium anti-cheat watches gameplay on our server. Cheating gets you banned.
2. EAC bans and ban evasion
- Evading a ban gets every account involved banned.
- Alt accounts of anyone with a Rust EAC game ban less than 243 days old are banned.
- Staff may remove accounts with a temporary Rust EAC ban less than 15 days old.
- Keep your account secure. Don't share it, lend it or play on someone else's. You answer for everything done on it.
3. Old EAC bans
An account with a single Rust EAC ban older than 243 days can play here. These accounts can't:
- Accounts with more than one Rust EAC ban
- Accounts with a Rust EAC ban in the last 8 months
- Players with a hardware ban
If you were let in and cheat again, the ban is permanent and there is no appeal.
4. Bugs and exploits
Don't abuse bugs or exploits. If something doesn't work the way it should, report it in a ticket instead of using it. This includes:
- Getting into places players aren't meant to reach
- Seeing or shooting through walls, rocks or terrain
- Graphics tweaks, configs or files that change how the game looks beyond its own settings
5. Malicious behaviour
Don't try to lag, crash or harm the server. Staff ban for:
- Spam crafting
- Mass despawning items
- Placing large numbers of entities
- Firework spam
Items and bases removed as a penalty are not given back.
6. Safe zones
Don't wall off or block the way into safe zones such as Outpost and Bandit Camp. Everyone gets to reach them.
7. Code of conduct
Facepunch's and Steam's terms of service apply on our servers, and so does UAE law. We have zero tolerance for breaking them: staff mute or ban.
8. Chat
- No racism, homophobia or hate speech.
- Our chat filter catches slurs and penalises them. Each repeat gets a heavier penalty.
- Repeated spam gets your chat restricted.
- Arabic and English are both welcome in global chat.
- No politics or religion in chat.
9. Doxing
Posting someone's personal information without their consent is a permanent ban. Fake information posted as a joke counts too.
10. DDoS threats
We treat every DDoS threat as real, joke or not. Staff may pass the details to the authorities and to the hosting providers involved.
11. Real-life threats
No threats of harm outside the game. Staff weigh the context, and they take these seriously. If someone talks about swatting a player or finding where they live, report it in a ticket straight away.
12. Real money trading
Don't buy or sell in-game items, bases, accounts or services for real money. It's a ban.
13. Advertising other servers
Don't advertise other servers or communities, in chat or in the game. Builds and signs that spell out a server's name count. Mentioning another server in conversation is fine; recruiting players for it is not.
14. Respect for staff
Abusing, harassing or impersonating staff leads to moderation. If you have a complaint about a staff member, open a ticket in our Discord.
15. VPNs and proxies
VPNs and proxies are allowed. Staff may restrict or ban VPN or proxy use linked to cheating, ban evasion or abuse. Cloud gaming such as GeForce Now is allowed.
16. Stream sniping
Don't use a live stream to find, follow or target the player streaming it. Calling out a creator who is playing under another name counts too. Staff judge each case on its own.
17. Association with cheaters
Teaming with cheaters or ban evaders, or knowingly playing alongside them, can get you banned with them.
18. Team rules
Teams are max 10 players, online and offline.
- The same cap applies to tool cupboard, code lock and turret authorisation, guest codes included.
- No sharing resources with other teams.
- No alliances, truces or non-aggression pacts.
- No slaving.
- No hotels, community bases or living with another team.
- No giving away or handing over bases. If you leave a base, clear its authorisation and remove your bags and beds.
- You can't switch between teams.
- Trade only at shops, in safe zones or through trade windows on the outermost part of a base.
To change a team member, do these steps in order:
- Change every code.
- Clear the tool cupboard authorisation.
- Destroy the leaving member's bags and beds.
- Remove the leaving member's sleeper.
- The new member joins.
Breaking team rules can get everyone involved penalised.
19. Reporting staff abuse
If you think a staff member is abusing their powers, open a ticket in our Discord. Reports are handled in confidence.
20. Staff don't play here
Staff never play on Rust Arabia servers, so nobody moderating has a side in a fight.
21. Staff discretion
These rules don't list everything. Staff use their judgement on our servers and in our Discord, including in cases the rules don't name. The rules can change, and the version on this page is the one that applies.
Server settings
- Team limit: max 10 players per team.
- Map wipe: weekly. The exact time is on the server page.
- Blueprints: Tier 1 unlocked for everyone; blueprints wipe only on the monthly force wipe.
- Anti-cheat: Galium.
Staff decide how these rules apply. To appeal a decision, open a ticket in our Discord.
