Gulf ping
Rust Arabia's 2x server is hosted in Dubai. It serves players across the GCC. These are indicative ping figures from across the Gulf, as a rough guide: your own ping depends on your connection.
The figures
| Where you play from | Indicative ping |
|---|---|
| United Arab Emirates (UAE) | 9–15 ms |
| Doha, Qatar | 14 ms |
| Muscat, Oman | 9–13 ms |
| Riyadh, Saudi Arabia | 20 ms |
| Jeddah, Saudi Arabia | 40–45 ms |
| Kuwait | 30 ms |
Indicative, owner-provided estimates as of 12 October 2026, not live measurements. Your ping will vary with your internet provider, routing, network and location.
Why it varies
Ping is the time data takes to reach the server and come back. Distance sets the floor, but the route your internet provider takes sets the rest, and the path from your city to Dubai is not always the shortest one.
That is why Jeddah reads higher than Riyadh: the west coast is further from Dubai, and its traffic can cross more networks on the way. Two players in the same city can also see different numbers on different providers.
Your home network matters too. Wi-Fi, downloads on the same connection or a VPN all add ping. A wired connection without a VPN gives the most stable result.
The figures above are estimates provided by our team, not live measurements, and this page does not test your connection. Rust's server browser shows your own ping to each server before you join.
By country
Indicative ping is about 20 ms from Riyadh and 40–45 ms from Jeddah. The map wipes every Friday at 4 pm Saudi time.
The server is in Dubai, so players in the UAE have the shortest route: indicative ping is about 9–15 ms. The map wipes every Friday at 5 pm UAE time.
From Doha, indicative ping to the Dubai server is about 14 ms. Doha is a short hop from Dubai, so the route stays short.
From Muscat, indicative ping is about 9–13 ms. Muscat is close to Dubai, so traffic has little distance to cover.
From Kuwait, indicative ping is about 30 ms. Kuwait sits at the north end of the Gulf, so traffic travels further to reach Dubai.
